A few months ago, we had the pleasure to work for the Domaine des Etangs, located in Charente Limousine, between Angoulême and Limoges.
The largest 5-star resort in mainland France, which extends over 1000 hectares in one piece, is a true haven of peace. Nature is preserved here, divided between forests, pastures and ponds. This exceptional place is an invitation to meditation, to the pleasure of the eyes and the taste buds…
The Domaine des Etangs, a unique hotel experience
There are several places to stay for a night or more: an eleventh century castle completely renovated and decorated with contemporary art, six farmhouses and a longère. Add to this a landscaped park, a vegetable garden, a wellness center, Gallo-Roman baths, a swimming pool and a floating tennis court. In this idyllic setting, the pleasure of the taste buds is not left out. The Michelin star, awarded to the gastronomic restaurant after only a few months of operation, confirms the quality of the cuisine of chef Fabien Beaufour, who favors short circuits for the preparation of his menu.
After 5 years of work, the Domaine has been entirely restored, skilfully blending history and modernity: antique furniture rubs shoulders with contemporary works of art and local materials worked by regional craftsmen.
Anxious to offer its guests top-of-the-line design equipment, the Domaine des Etangs naturally turned to BARAZZI for its furnishing project.
The opening of Le Moulin, a showcase dedicated to well-being
In addition to the castle and its centuries-old outbuildings, the Domaine des Etangs has a 1000-hectare park with ponds. A magnificent setting, conducive to relaxation and rejuvenation. In this exceptional park, the resort wanted to provide its guests with a warm and friendly space in front of this jewel box dedicated to well-being, installed in the old mill of the property.
The Domaine des Etangs has chosen the ZERO 300 brazier, one of the XXL braziers offered by BARAZZI. This giant brazier of 3 meters in diameter has a corten steel finish that allows it to integrate perfectly naturally into a landscape without distorting it. Made in Italy by the AK47 studio, combining contemporary design and craftsmanship, it fits perfectly in this place of character:

“We knew BARAZZI, having bought braziers before, and we are delighted. The attraction of the fire brings an authentic character and invites to evasion.

In our house, materials like stone, wood, copper, leather, glass, etc. are worked and sublimated. Some of the furniture was even made by us with wood from the Domaine!
